lol yap..I'm blogging....

I was talking with friends about our # 1's in music... (musician's who's music really talks to you)..

Ok I was tagged...

I forget the rules lol.. but I know gotta post 6 weird things about me!!

1. When I play online (www.pogo.com) for rank and badges.. I hate ending in odd numbers ..except 5's... so if i'm let's say 21 whatevers to next rank ...I have to play one more..so I can end on even number... pretty anal.. this odd number thing used to be only in games.. but now I find it carrying over into every day life.. my parents were giving me some 1 litre bottles of water... I had to make sure it was even number of bottles lol..

2. I collect Kinder egg toys... You know..those chocolate eggs you buy that have toys inside...

3. I'm 42 years old and I keep hidden from my parents that I smoke!!!! LOL

Well, that's all the weird stuff I can think of for now.. I'll try to think of 3 more .... so this in effect is part 1.

Dreams!

A few days ago, on the way to work.. my friends (that I drive in with) and I were talking about dreams... and I thought of a dream..well nightmare really that I had when I was a teenager.... Since that conversation that dream has popped into my head a few times since..

It was very scary... and I mean terrifying!!!

I remember only the last part... a man (whom I can't see) is attacking me, he's lying on top of me ....and I can feel him.. and I'm scared.. but I also know I'm dreaming..so I know I have to wake up..so I try to wake myself up... I am trying to scream out.. knowing that will wake me up.. but it's hard to do this... but FINALLY after what seemed an eternity I was able to cry out..and I woke up.. .Thank God!!!!!

I was still living at home..and my room was in the basement.. I proceeded to turn on every single light in the basement... I knew if I feel back asleep the dream would continue (have had that happen before)

I thought about trying to find out what that nightmare meant.. but I'm going to chalk it up to one of those horrible horrible nightmares....

You know it occurs to me that I have no idea why I'm posting about this, I'm not looking for answers to it.. it's not a happy thing to share... but oh well.. I'll hit 'publish' lol...

I know.. I'll make this an intro to a question:

A Post for Posting sake!!

Ok so it's been wayyy too long since my last post... so thought I'd write something tonight..

Now, what to write....

My niece Sarah is coming to visit tomorrow (till Sunday).. I can't wait... she's five years old and very precocious (oy the stories I could tell you LOL).. oh ya..she's bringing my sister with her!!! Just kidding... hehe.. I'm very close to my sister, even though she lives wayyy over in England..
Ok.. I found a subject to write about lol...

When I was younger my sister was almost 5 years older then was, It seemed like a generation apart.. oh sure for a time we shared a room, and she was there for me when I had a nightmare and I sat on the floor staring at her head willing her to wake up (she did). the only thing we really had in common was our brother and his tormenting of us lol (boy and middle child syndrom I think lol). I never really thought we were all that close... Well, she's still almost five years older then I am, but we grew up and things changed!!!

My sister moved away and had a family, we don't talk very much but when we do it's great. We get to see each other at least once a year, either she comes here, or I go there but despite all that I stand by my statement that we are close. She's the best sister in the world and I love her very much. She's got the greatest kids (three wonderful girls).. I can't wait to see her, just wish it was longer then 6 days!

Well I guess that's about it, I'll hopefully let you know how the visit went!!

The Undead!!!

Ok, now that I have your attention LOL

Ok, when I was in Europe in the summer, I bought a slew of books.. One of them was called "Undead and Unpopular" it was a really funny book... one of a series... Now normally I don't like to read series out of order... but I had already started the book before I realized it was part of a series... Anyways I read the book... and It was one of those books that makes you chuckle outloud.. Yes, it's about vampires but in a humorous vein (pardon the pun lol)..

Anyways back home, a few days ago, I was in a bookstore and found more of the series... (just missing one now).... these are the books written by Mary Janice Davidson:

Undead and Unwed
Undead and Unemployed (the one I'm missing -for now)
Undead and Unappreciated
Undead and Unreturnable
Undead and Unpopular

Anyways to give you an idea of what to expect from these books. Here's the back cover thing from the first one:

It occured to me as I read the first one.. (err the last one in the series so far lol) that this book might be for younger readers.. but I didn't care.. it made me laugh.. as did the next one,.. which WAS the first one in the series..... I've already started the third one.. (dammit I gotta find that second one!!!) LOL

Talking about crushes!!

I was trying to think of what to write about tonight..and decided that I don't want to put that pressure on me... that I "HAVE'" to post every day... with that said... here's what I'm going to write about today..

Was chatting with friends about a show... and got to thinking... wow there are a lot of actors I have crushes on (or is it lusting for?)..... Shouldn't you outgrow 'crushes' at some point.. I mean I'm 26 years old...err I mean 42 (lol) and I still have teenage crushes on people in the entertainment industry!!!

Do I feel 42?? Heck to the no.. I feel like I'm in my 20's.. so I guess it's ok to still have these crushes heheh

Well short and sweet... write at ya soon (but not necessarily tomorrow lol) !!!

Driving in the rain!

Just so you know I've been thinking about this post alll dayyyyy.. aren't you proud of me..two days in a row..!! Ok on to the subject at hand.

I HATE driving in the rain, in fact it scares the bejeezus outta me.. I'm not talking a light rain I'm talking a torrential downpour where you can't see in front of you and all you can do is keep an eye on the left line to make sure you stay in your lane... That's the kinda rain I'm talking about.. and that's what I drove in today, to get to work.. I was skeered chitless!!!! Happily I made it to work in one piece *phew* ... but like I said... I hate driving in the rain.

My day other then that went from bad to worse... got to work after two days off to find my rolley (what we call our personal drawers where we kept our stuff, which we have a key for and our name on it)... I looked for it for 40 minutes before I finally found it!! But I was pissed... but I guess the rest of the day went ok... but was glad when 3 o'clock came round..

Now, the countdown is on for season premier of Lost.. omg I can't wait!!! Hope you enjoyed my random rambling!!! Nothing really meaningful to say, but as a friend said.. it doesn't have to be right !!!!!

OK!!!

I'm finally posting in my blog.... Cokie and Dom.... try not to faint...

Well, I've come to a conclusion, I'm not a good blog person.... I forget to read friends blogs and I rarely post in my own... Thing is... what do I have to write about?? Interestingly enough when I was young I always thought I'd be a writer when I grew up, I was always writing nonsensical stories...

So, what do I write about? I could do the joke thing and maybe I'll post the odd joke that I find humourous. I could write about my day. But I like to forget my day (well only on days I work lol) once I get home. I guess I could just write what comes into my mind... so here goes

I had yesterday and today off from work today so a four day weekend... I went to my cousins house last night to break the fast (It was Yom Kippur yesterday).. and ate like a pig... but I enjoyed it.. For the most part I did a whole lotta nothing these past four days. I played an offline game yesterday which made the day go by super fast... played it again today.. it's addicting lol.. BUT at 2 pm I got off my duff and finally hung up all my winter clothes (which I had brought upstairs from my locker) and now there's a bagfull of summer clothes waiting to go downstairs to my locker).. I also cleaned my kitchen and did my laundry.. So I'm feeling very accomplished today. Then met with a friend and we went to Swiss Chalet for dinner (for my American friends reading this.. Swiss Chalet is a Canadian restaurant that specializes in chicken... and if you ever ever get north of the border you HAVE to search it out and eat there.. omgg it's sooooooo good.. also inexpensive) Then back home to chill out on puter.

Oh ya.. we saw the most amazing thing tonight after dinner.. we walked back to our building (we both live in same condo building...) and decided to sit in the little park area for a bit... and there were like a thousand birds in a number of trees singing loudly..and then silence and we see the birds fly out .. it was awesome and we were mesmorized by the sight of the multiple groups of birds flying with no direction whatsoever... it was just incredible to watch..

Ok, so how did I do.... did I bore you to tears?? I hope not lol.. in any case give me time hopefully I'll have some fun stuff to write about. I'd promise that I'll keep this up and post every day or at least every other day, but I've promised that before and well.... So keep checking back (if you dare) and hopefully you'll find something interesting!!!

Don't think my butt will recover LOL

So, I'm finally moved, and as settled in as I can (except for lack of furniture lol)..

I am desperatly in need of a new computer desk and chair...I have this old desk, which is ok.. but doesn't have room for all my junk....then I'm using a dining room chair, which I gotta say is like sitting on the floor it's so damn hard.. I have pillow under my butt and behind my back... so I'm not right on top of the computer screen I have a t.v. table (folding table) on the side for my mouse..and the only way I can type properly is with keyboard on lap, one leg on the table and one leg on a footstool... Can you even picture that??? LOL.. Every so often my butt and/or legs fall asleep... and I hate that.. it HURTS!!!

So hopefully soon I'll be able to find a decent desk and chair..cause frankly this sucks LOL..

I need couches... a loveseat for my den and a nice couch for my living room... thinking black leather couch for living room... Did find a reallllly nice red leather chair at Ikea that I'll probably get..

The pantry that I got as an extra was done wrong..so I still have a lot of my kitchen stuff at my parents since I have no room in my kitchen without the pantry..

Now for the good stuff..... I luv luv luv having a washer/dryer in my condo..I've done like 10 loads of laundry (probably washed stuff that didn't need it) since I've been here (a little over a week).. done two loads in the dishwasher.. when you're only one person, takes a bit to fill up lol....

My walk in closet is AMAZING... it's soooooo big....

I guess this is turning out to be a boring read... well I made no promises that this blog would be full of exciting stuff... but who knows what the future will bring eh!... Once I learn how to do stuff in here, like add pictures it'll bound to be more fun (one can hope lol)... Also now that I'm more settled in I'll try to post more...

For now.. must give my butt a break!!! :)

I still have stuff to pack and only 2 1/2 days now to do it in... well one evening... one day and then half a day lol...

I did accomplish something today... did address change for license and health card and got key cut...OH that reminds me.. gotta tell this funny story lol...

About a week ago I noticed that I lost the key to my locker (and locker room).. so I went to landlord got extra key (to be copied {see above lol}) but they were non-commital on giving me a bolt cutter that I could cut through the lock on my locker.. so I went out and bought one (20.00 friggin bucks down the tubes).. went to locker.. and started working on the lock... oh man it was tough..thought I was making progress and voila.. locker opened.. well bonehead me didn't cut through the lock.. but did manage to break the latch lol... ..

So I'm going to buy a new one and as I leave..gonna hand it to them and say.. (on the advice of a friend lol) Here, you might need this...

On a sad note a friend of mine from pogo passed away this past weekend.. they say it was a heart attack.. he was only around 41..which btw is MY AGE!!! So sad.. I'll miss him, and his sense of humour!!

Rest in peace Dark!!!

I'm trying not to be stressed about this move.. I think I'm a combo of being nervous, stressed and excited.. I wonder if I'll even sleep Friday night!!

Speaking of sleep I better get to bed.. I'm really trying to go to bed early these days.. tired of being tired cause I go to bed late and wake up early for work (5:15 am)

Doubt I'll get another chance to write till after my move. Course will you really miss my rambling posts?? heheh

Update!!!

Just found out today, that no matter what the condition of floors.. I won't have to pay if it needs to be replaced!!! Wahoooooooo one less thing off my mind.. and now this frees up more time for me for packing etc...

OMG..what a load off!! Inspection is tomorrow, so I'll find out if I have to pay anything (broken appliances..to my knowledge they're working fine (fridge and stove/oven) Though I've never used the oven in the 10 1/2 years I've lived here so who knows if it even EVER worked...oh wait.. I baked cookies once... and it worked! yea!)

Ok just taking a break from 'accomplishing' back later hopefully.. to post more!!

Now, should I just write what's on my mind right now... or write an introductory type entry... Eh... I'll just dive right in I think

I am moving in less then two weeks... and today I hired a mover... so that's one less thing to worry about... I made such an idiot of myself on the phone today... He was recommended to me by my boss at work.. He works where I do, but moonlights as a mover I think... anyways we emailed back and forth.. My dad wanted to talk to him before committing... make sure he was on up and up, double check pricing etc.. so I gave him the phone number... Anyhoo at 8 pm my dad calls me.. he hadn't called yet... so I told him I would email him tomorrow.. about half an hour later my phone rings.. I pick it up..and this guy asks for my dad and I just KNEW what I had done... like an idiot I had given him MY phone number instead of my parents... OY

Oh well he still took the job heheh.. I'm starting to get really stressed about what I have to do before my move.. the bathroom floor is going to kill me I swear... Years ago I had put down tile in there... and did a fairly poor job at it... so I couldn't leave it like it was (trust me.. it was bad).. so I lifted the tiles.. now I'm trying to get the sticky residue stuff that stayed behind off...I'm telling you this is not a happy experience..and I just pray that when I'm finally done it'll pass muster during the inspection thingy...I've purchased every single cleaning solution known to man. if anyone reading this knows of an easy way to do this I would be forever in their debt!!!! Then there's the floor in the kitchen...I have a big stain from a bag being wet and me not realizing it.. nice big purple stain left behind..thankfully magic eraser is taking care of it, but it's going to be a slow job lol...

The only good thing is.. I have made myself an agenda for what I'm doing each day, cleaning, packing, throwing out, delivering to places (goodwill, Senior's home etc) and so far am sticking to it, so still optimistic that things will work out... :)

Ok changed my mind a bit... I wrote what was on my mind just now.. but I'll also make this a bit introductory..

I like to jump from one subject to another (this post is a perfect example)..
